Read Nominet’s 30 stories for 30 years of .uk
by Martin Belam, July 24, 2015 Yesterday saw the launch of a project I’ve been helping along the last few weeks – “30 Stories of .uk”
It is 30 years since the .uk domain name came into existence, and working with Nominet and Storythings I’ve been part of putting together 30 stories that celebrate the way that the .uk domain, the internet and the world wide web have helped transform businesses and lives since 1985.
Whether it is an unusual museum, enabling everybody to play game, bringing people together, making people laugh, holding firm when under attack or bringing memories back, I struggle to imagine a world without the web.
