Come and spend a night in June dancing to the Fall in Walthamstow

Long-time readers will know what a huge fan of the Fall I am, and I am excited that in June I am helping to put on a night in Walthamstow dedicated to the band.

Yes, 10 June 2025, come along to Walthamstow Trades Hall. Here is the blurb …

“A whole night of Fall music to Dance&ShoutAlongTo. All your Fall favourites from ‘Live at the Witch Trials’ to ‘New Facts Emerge’ and beyond, plus vids of fantastic Fall performances. Entry £3. Upstairs at the fantastic Trades Hall, Walthamstow.”

You can get your tickets here.

As I wrote at the time that Mark E Smith passed away

“What’s gradually dawning on me is not that we’ve lost the music – we’ll always have that incredible back catalogue – but that I’ll never get to see the Fall live again. And after 30 years of watching them, through good times and bad, both theirs and mine, through all those line-up changes, and through Mark’s deteriorating health, I realise I’m going to miss that terribly.”

[I still have this ticket for the Fall’s Koko gig in 2017, which would have been the 13th time I’d seen them, but which was cancelled due to Mark’s increasing ill-health]

On the night in Walthamstow we will be DJing Fall and Fall-adjacent music and showing some videos, and toasting the memory of Mark E Smith and the gift of the Fall that he and various band-members over the years gave us. I promise not to get up and sing.
