
Defending animals unfairly maligned in movies …
If you missed it, yesterday I had a very silly article on the Guardian website in tow of news that Exeter University is offering a film studies module looking at how donkeys have been besmirched by the way they are portrayed on the silver screen.
I was suggesting four other species that have been dealt a poor hand by Hollywood, but mostly I was just excited about getting the lines “unlikely to actually club you to death with bones” and “that one where an orangutan goes on a road-trip with Clint Eastwood for some reason” into the Guardian archive in perpetuity.
